Back To Shop
Your Letters

June 2005

Dear Georgia,

I have just opened a new shop in Leicester, it’s in a good location and I think it looks fantastic but I don’t seem to be attracting people inside. They stop and look at the window but seem to walk past as if I am not open, can you help me get those people in!

Kind Regards,

Amanda, Leicester

Dear Amanda,

It sounds as if you have got it 99% right, you’re just lacking that certain something to make them open your door. Firstly, I would ensure that if whenever possible, the door to your shop is left open as this will make people feel free to wander. Secondly, I would burn frankincense or cinnamon incense as the enticing smell will draw people in – they’re also great attracters of wealth. Thirdly, I would have a welcome mat in the doorway. People tend to bring negative energy into shops from the street and you want to avoid this so giving people the opportunity to wipe their feet gives them the chance to release all of the negative residue they may be carrying. Finally, I would use a simple spell a good friend passed on to me when I first started my business.

All you’ll need is 6 tea lights and a pin. Take one tea light and inscribe the image of a stick man into the wax with the pin. Light this tea light just before you open your shop on Monday morning and visualise people walking in with money in their hands and leaving with your goods. Do this every day for a week from Monday to Saturday just before you open and you’ll find that customers will start to come in. At the end of the week, make some sort of offering to the Goddess/God to thank them for helping you. This could be a nice plant or something from nature to brighten up the shop.

Some people don’t agree with using magic to help you make money but exchanging goods or services is as old as time itself, so don’t hold back. As long as you’re genuine in your desire to provide quality goods, magic can help you reach the stars!

Blessed Be,

Georgia.
