Dear Georgia,
I live in a flat with a few friends and recently we have been fighting a lot,
the feeling in the flat is very strained and I wondered if there was anything
you could do to help us?
Yours sincerely ,
Shirley, Essex
Dear Shirley,
Sharing flats and houses can be the best of experiences or the worst, so
don’t give yourself too much of a hard time. These phases normally pass,
but here are a few things that could help you to bring harmony to the flat
Plants : camomile, rosemary and basil are all
excellent at bringing peace, tranquillity, protection and prosperity
to any house.
Candles : have a few calming colours in the
bathroom and lounge to allow you all to relax either together
or alone. If you like scented candles, go for calm soft scents
like lavender and vanilla.
Talk : make time everyday to talk to each other,
not about the issues of the flat or who stole who’s lipstick,
but about things that happened outside, ask for advice and opening
up will allow you all to feel closer to each other.
Altar : If you’re all Wiccan, then a
communal altar that you can all use could be a good way of bringing
you altogether in harmony.
Thoughts : think of your flat mates and do
things for then without expecting anything in return. Perhaps
if you occasionally did some of their laundry (if you’re
not washing machine illiterate) they’d be really grateful.
Wash the dishes or put out the rubbish.
Put all these things into place and I’ve no doubt that your situation
will improve.
Blessed
Be,
Georgia.
