Dear Georgia,
I am interested in witchcraft, only my parents
don’t approve.
My mum thinks I’ll get into black magic, as she calls it, and
my dad says it’s brainwashing. I have tried to talk to them
about it, but they don’t seem to listen. Is there any advice
you can offer me?
Colette.
Dear Colette,
I know this must be frustrating for you and you did
what you thought was best by telling your parents who you are. Many
people find any
change confusing and hard to understand, but with patience I believe
that showing your parent that you are a caring, loving person who
only wishes to be at one with the earth will, over time, help them
to see that you are truly a unique person. Try to reassure them by
giving them as much information as they want and try to explain to
them about what you truly believe in. However, you must at all times
respect their beliefs as much as you would like them to respect yours.
Blessed
Be
Georgia.
Dear Georgia,
I have been interested in Wicca and Paganism for quite
a long time. I am a newcomer and want to learn. Where and how can
I learn and
join?
Pravin, London.
Dear Pravin,
The best way to learn about anything is to read and practice
- try your local library. You can find a great wealth of information
by
searching the internet and many sites will tell you of meetings or
groups in your local area. Always make contact before you go and
make sure the group is what you’re looking for. As with any
meeting found on the internet, make sure someone knows where you’re
going and at what time.
Walk in nature and listen to the trees, look at who you are and how
you live your life. We’ll put your contact post onto community
connect and try to find you some people in your local area who can
help you.
Blessed Be
Georgia.
